MP3 Audio CD. This novel tells the story of Norah Linton, her brother Jim, her father David and Jim's friend Wally from Australia. They all went to England throughout the First World War for the reason that Jim and Wally agreed to battle in the warfare.

Upon the death of an Irish chum of the family, Norah bequeaths a large residence in Surrey: Homewood. To hold on to the dead Irish's reminisces they need to stay in the residence to aid the warfare struggles. They made it into a house for "Tired People"?militaries recuperating from miseries, or militaries on absence that have no family to come home to, could visit in this place to have fun and take pleasure in the rural area, in order for them to return to their troops completely relaxed and revived.

Sadly, Jim and Wally are in a little while started to battle, departing Norah and her dad to tend for the Tired People.

Mary Grant Bruce mostly referred to as Minnie Bruce, was an Australian storyteller for youngsters and journalist. Throughout the time all her 37 volumes delighted prevailing fame in Australia and internationally, especially in the UK, she was very popular for the Billabong sequels, concentrating on the exploits of the Linton family on Billabong Station in Victoria and in England and Ireland though the First World War.

Her work was regarded instrumental in formulating ideologies of Australian national individuality, particularly in connection to views of the Bush.
