The Standard Library Company, London, No date. Edition Unstated. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Fair Condition/No Dust Jacket. Introduction by editor. The text is illustrated in a green coloured cloth, with the back strip being plain with silver coloured titles and the front panel textured with silver coloured embossed titles – please see photograph. Title says it all. The book is showing age and wear - please see photographs. Shipping to the lower back strip edge and to the top right-hand corner of the top edge. Pieces of the cloth, probably from insect nibbles, are missing from the back strip and along the lower edge of the front spine gutter. Rubbing to the book edges along with chipping and pumping. Rubbing of the book panels along with some fading. Flecking to the rear panel. Uniform heavy tanning of the text book edges and pages and there is foxing to the textblock edges. The front hinge has cracked and the underlying webbing is visible and there is some cracking of the rear hinge. Offsets tanning and marking of the end pages, and, there is a gift inscription (dated 1901) to the three front end page. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [3], 4 - 512 pages,.
