Between pages 96 and 97 there are 15 pages of black and white photographs and one page showing an illustration of Captain James Cook. Dark green coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. At the rear of the book there is an eight page fold out facsimile map, showing "A Chart of the Sea Coast of New South Wales or the East Coast of New Holland by Lieutenant J Cook Commander Of His Majestys Bark Endeavour, who Discovered and Explored this Coast in 1770". Illustrated dustwrapper (wraparound) with black and aqua coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. Journals of Captain James Cook and his observations of discoveries around Australia. Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges and rubbing of the book corners. Light browning of the text block edges and age toning of the pages.
