New York: Harper & Brothers, 1863. First edition, 1863. Two volume set, vol. I poor, vol. II fair. Brown blind stamped cloth with gilt spine lettering. Both have external wear and rubbing. Vol. I: spine covering nearly absent, text block broken into two, frontis map mainly chipped. Vol. II, spine chipped, text block sound but not ticht, frontis map good with short closed tear near inner margin, minor insect damage to rear endpapers. Both volumes have age-yellowed pages, college library written on front pastedowns, numbers in pencil at top of title pages, volume II has old label on spine.. Hard Cover. Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
