An early occidental account of life in Japan from a British diplomat. The illustrations list here calls for a map "in the front" of both volumes, but there were never any maps in these books.Condition of this set:Spines darkened with a few spots, short tear in pastedown of V1, overall near fine. Size: Octavo (standard book size). 2-volume set (complete). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact.
