E.P. DUTTON & CO, 1953. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 12mo. Black cloth binding with original dust jacket. 219 p.p. Some tearing to extremities of jacket and spine, with brown staining on front and rear cover, but otherwise very good. Light rubbing to head and tail of spine, with heavy yellowing of front and rear endpapers. Crisp pages. In very good condition. William Campbell Gault (1910-1995) was an award-winning American writer remembered for his crime and sports fiction. Dutton Guilt Edged Mysteries published 82 novels of detective fiction between 1947 and 1956 and was recently relaunched in 2012 as a digital imprint by Penguin Group.
