London: George Virtue, 1842. First Edition. Half-Leather. Very Good +/No Jacket. W.H. Bartlett. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Both volumes have been bound in half brown leather with brown cloth over boards. The spines have been redone, and the labels read "CANADA ILLUSTRATED". The books are still in their original boards, which have some modest wear at the outer extremities. Original endpages and pastedowns. Marbled page edges faded. Illustrated throughout with black and white engraved plates. Previous owner's bookplate to the front pastedown of each volume. Some foxing throughout both volumes.
