About This Item

Chicago: National Laymen's Council, 1944. Pamphlet. 101p. staplebound booklet, overlapping edges worn where they extend past the textblock. Interior clean and unmarked. Robnett, an advertising executive, co-founded the National Laymen's Council, Church League of America, in 1937. Here he warns of foreign socialist influences and alleged challenges to Christian dominance. In his later years Robnett became more explicitly anti-Semitic in his writings, but in this work such impulses are quite thoroughly masked.
