Edge and corner wear, scuffed and scratched, corners are bumped and rubbed, shelf worn, ffep is missing, small split in the upper portion of the cloth covered spine, binding is loose with a few of the pages present but out, ex-library with the usual library markings, overall still a nice collectible used first Knight & Brown edition (sold by subscription only)! Very very rare and hard-to-find title! Decorative blue cloth with gilt lettering and illustration on the front board and spine. 551 historical pages nicely enhanced by black and white photographs and illustrations!
