Splendid Anthology of Poetry in in handsome contemporary Brown Calf Full-Leather Binding with 4 Raised Bands to spine, Gilt Title on Dark Red Ground in 2nd compartment, Gilt Decoration filling the others and the bands, Blind tooled decoration to edges and inner borders. Endpapers Marbled. 27 Poems, including "Columbus" by G. Waddington; "Pompeii" & "Evening" by T. B. Macaulay; "Waterloo" by G. E. Scott; "The Druids" & "Invasion of Russia" by C. Wordsworth; "Timbuctoo" by A. Tennyson & "Bannockburn" by C. Sangster. 313 Pages, 330g, 6 1/2" Tall. Antique illustrated Bookplate with Armorial Bearing with twin Lions "Hastings" on Endpaper. Previous owner's inscription on bak of free endpaper dated 1843. No other inscriptions. Some very faint spots of foxing on title & contents pages but only a very occasional small spot elsewhere. Very attractive, clean copy. Size: 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall
