About This Item

This copy inscribed at the head of the title leaf: Richard Mason Esq. with the authors kind regards. 8vo. x, 264pp + xxxii publishers catalogue and index, dated April 1868. Green cloth lettered in gold at the spine and with a double embossed blind border to the upper and lower boards. Some wear to the backstrip ends, and several short slits to the gutters. Rear hinge just a fraction tender. Some light occasional spotting. Subsequent ownership details neatly inked to the head of the dedication leaf, and a tiny dealer plate to the base of the rear pastedown. Quite a nice bright copy. A two-page preface by the author precedes thirty-five poems and thirteen prose pieces, mostly concerning Wales and Welsh Nationality..
