About This Item

Fresno, CA Valley Publishers, 1974. Hardcover First Edition [1974], unstated. INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR. First Edition [1974], unstated. Very Good+ in Very Good DJ. The Book shows foxing to the top edge of the text block; a former owner's (the person to whom the author has inscribed and signed the book) bookplate at the front free endpaper; else flawless; the binding is square and secure; the text is clean. Free of creased or dog-eared pages in the text. Free of any underlining, hi-lighting or marginalia or marks in the text. A handsome copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing the former owner's bookplate and a minor, unobtrusive cosmetic imperfection. Bright and clean. Corners sharp. Close to 'As New'. The DJ shows moderate rubbing and faint soiling to the white background field of the rear panel; light sunning to the orange background field of the backstrip, blanching to yellow (the black titles thereon are unaffected: bold a clearly legible); the price has been clipped; mylar-protected. Bright and attractive, but not without flaw. 4to. (11.35 x 8.75 x 0.7 inches). x, 100 pages., including bibliography. Illustrated with numerous vintage black & white photographs. Language: English. Weight: 24 ounces. Hardback with DJ. Margaret Koch did a superb job of researching her material. This book is hugely informative. But be warned! You'll want to spend all your free time bumming around Santa Cruz County and checking out all the historical spots! INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY AUTHOR.
