About This Item

New Yrok, New York, USA: Robert M. McBride & Company, 1931. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7. 1931 Hardcover Book in Good Condition. No jacket. First Published 1921. Companion to Morton's "In Search of England", and, like it, is a "rather haphazard motor-car holiday in spring". " In this book the readers will find a more general view of the England of his day, town and country, and more emphasis on the North of England. You will find a jumble of the old and new, of romance and reality, to bring a fair and accurate report of Old and New England. The book is bound in light brown original publisher's cloth with black titles on spine, very clean and unmarked with light scuffing to some corners and spine head and herl. Binding is tght and solid, rear inner hinge cracked. Fore-edge and lower edge rough cut. Photographs on endpapers. Flyleaf and half-title page have residue from something that was affixed to those pages at one time. Former owner names on half-title page. Pages are evenly toned, quite clean and other than paragraphs backeted in pencil on 7 pages and penciled notes on the rear flyleaf, completely free from any markings, no creases. 276 pages, indexed. 5.75 x 8.5 inches. 1931, Robert M. McBride & Company, New Yrok, New York, USA
