About This Item
Pasadena: Caltech, underwritten by C.F.Braun & Co [oil refiners], no date, pre-WWII. Leaflet, small folio leaf folded and printed to make a 10.5x7 inch brochure, cover-decorated with the Caltech emblem (two naked males seeking Truth) and furnishing Exhibit Committee names, demonstration lectures, buildings where truth-machines might be viewed, a plat map of the campus. Heavily creased and crimped, now reasonably flat, a good-only exemplar. "This program is presented by the undergraduate students of the Institute." Dated from said fact that exhibit committee was formed of undergrads; D[avid] Steinmetz, listed as Assistant Chairman, worked at Douglas aircraft during WWII and did not return to Caltech; Y. Nakada, who presented meterology, may well have been interned.
