London: Grenfell Association of Great Britain and Ireland. Raphael Tuck and Sons, Ltd. Soft Cover. Good. No date. Oblong small wraps, with a pastedown illustration on the front cover. Originally issued as a 52 week calendar. This is LACKING the calendar portion and consists ONLY of black and white photos. These chronicle the work of Sir Wilfred Grenfell in Labrador Canada, depicting the ice, harbors, ships, people and settlements of the area. Grenfell led medical missionary expeditions to Newfoundland and Labrador in an effort to help the fishermen and fishing settlements, eventually expanding his work to include the native population, and establishing orphanages, schools, etc. GOOD+ condition. Minor creasing and darkening to the covers, with minor soiling. Remains of a sticker on the rear cover. Interior clean and solid with minor toning to the paper. Some rusting to the staples. First photo with minor scuffs.
