Marbleized calf pages and edges. Blue ribbon page marker. If you read latin, there are some good ways to shut people down. Probably better, than "Dear Sir, you cur" attributed to WC Fields. The dront cover is loose. inside is the bookplate of john spencer meade of harvard, who owned the book in 1829 written on the upper free flyleaf corner.. Several illustrations. 352 pages. publishers catalog and index. Book was published in new editions up to 1851. Several reprints have been in the 2000's.
