Limited edition of 500 copies this is numbered 16. A former institutional copy with faded numbers on the spine and stamps on the verso of the right front flyleaf, copyright page, bottom of page 202. Many of the illustrations are tipped in with a couple creased, folded at the bottom edge. The title page is toned light brown from contact with the frontispiece tissue guard. This is a novel of the Western frontier and the battle of Little Big Horn with some history added in the Addenda. Howes M 935; Herd 1596.
