London: F.V. White & Co., 1901. Australian author Guy (Newell) Boothby (1867-1905) was known for his sensationalist stories and is liisted in Hubin [41]. This is a Very Good copy of the First English Edition. Not common. Dark blue cloth binding with bevels. Titling on the spine and front cover in gilt. Clean text; 306 pages, with a six-page publisher's catalog in the rear. Frontis illustration and three others within by A. Wallis Mills. The textblock is significantly toned and fragile, due to publisher using cheap stock. The spine is darkened and all gilt is dulled but perfectly readable. In an archival plastic protector.. First UK Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. Illus. by A. Wallis Mills. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
