Cloth boards with color illustrations and gilt titles to front and spine; tiny leaf patterned endpapers. In very good condition without tears, folds or inscriptions. Toning and light foxing to endpapers, frontispiece verso and tissue guard; occasional light thumb mark to margins; small circular spot lower gutter pages 262-269; small stain page 341; tiny label to front free endpaper verso. Boards have general soiling and wear; spine is cocked; binding remains firm. A rare volume.
