Washington, D.C.: Private. Good with no dust jacket. 1901. First Edition. Half-Leather. Book is clean, you can see stitching in places, leather on corners and spine is very worn and torn at head of spine. This is a souvenir book published by the author that has portraits of all the employees of the Bureau of Animal Industry from 1884-1900 and then has a short biography on each of them. There is also a history of this bureau of the government, the author was the first Chief and stayed until 1905. There are over 250 pages of portraits, most with one or two pictures but some have nine people shown. Has a note on a front free page from a former owner giving it to a library in 1934, there is a library stamp on that page but nowhere else inside or out.; Ex-Library .
