First Edition. 5th Printing. . Pp48. 6 tipped in colour plates and 15 black and white full page illustrations. Thick Card boards with attached dust jacket, illustrated front and plain white back, spine is not typical but glued to the book block- pieces missing. Previous owners name stamped on half title page. Front of 'jacket', crinkling to spine edge, shows wear to edges. Hinge showing between pages 14/15. Most of the black and white plates are delicately coloured in. Original tipped-in colour plates are in very good condition. Typical thick wartime paper is browning. This lovely early edition of Ida Rentoul Outhwaite is complete: Image is ALWAYS of the ACTUAL BOOK: Book and or Jacket may have names. dedications. marks. tears. foxing. browned pages. creasing and losses unless otherwise noted.. . . . .
