London: Collins. Near Fine with no dust jacket. 1989. First Edition. Hardcover. In the original publisher's glossy pictorial laminated boards. No dustjacket - presume as issued. VERY slight 'bumping' from shelfwear to the head/tail of the spine and the corners - but generally negligible. SIGNED in bold blue marker pen on the front free endpaper "To Amelia All my love David x " - The author is 'David' English BUT I'm fairly sure that this signature is from DAVID GOWER the England Cricketer, whose endorsement of the book and facsimile signature is on the rear board. The 'David' who has signed this book has a stroke/dot above the last 'D' just like David Gower's signature. ? . Otherwise the book is unmarked with NO Inscriptions or Marks. Unpaginated, and illustrated throughout in colour with delightful illustrations by Jan Brychta, of the 'tests', trials and tribulations of the Cricketing Bunburys. An Excellent Very Clean, Tight and Bright Near 'As New' copy. "Rajbun and Ellie the Elephant board the Jumbo to Bungal for a reunion with his mamadum and papadum. Rajbun falls in love but is warned off by the Maharajbun. He rides into the mountains in search of his love where many dangers confront him."
