About This Item

Atlanta: The Kourier, 1936. Newsletter. Four-panel brochure folded from a single sheet, about 5x8 inches, minor toned area at lower right corner, "KKK" in red pencil at top. First issue of a bulletin on issues related to education, put out by The Kourier, a Ku Klux Klan magazine. Not found in OCLC., though it is possible that it may have been laid into issues of The Kourier and is not cataloged separately. Reports that a convention of the Superintendents' Department of the NEA in St. Louis was packed with Communists, "And these are the men who hire and fire the teachers of American school children." Also includes an article opposing the New Deal and a warning that public funds might go to support Catholic schools.
