Paris: Baudry's European Library, 1834. [4], 201pp, [3]. With an engraved frontispiece. Contemporary green half-calf, marbled boards, contrasting red morocco lettering-piece, gilt. Extremities rubbed. Slight loss to upper corner of preface leaf, very occasional light spotting. A popular account by colonial governor Sir Francis Bond Head (1793-1875) of his 1832 visit to the German spa of Langen-Schwalbach (probably undertaken for the sake of his wife's health) first published in 1834. . Third edition. 8vo.
