About This Item
Chicago: We the People, 1964. 11x17 inch broadside printed both sides, with an introductory section by Banson, the former Secretary of Agriculture under Eisenhower who went on to become the 13th president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Fold-creased, otherwise very good. The rear reprints a piece by Clarence Manion, "Not Right and Left - Right and WRONG." "For thirty years we have aided the cause of atheistic, socialistic communism by permitting communists in high places in government; by giving away vital military secrets, by squandering much of our material resources; by recklessly spending ourselves to near bankruptcy; by weakening our free enterprise system through adoption of socialist policies; by wasteful bungling of our foreign affairs; by ever increasing confiscatory taxation and by permitting the insidious infiltration of communist agents and sympathizers into almost every segment of American life..." Warns that readers should teach their children to count in rubles. Provides address for joining the group and a list of books and pamphlets for reading groups.
