London: Collins, 1946. First edition. Cloth. Very Good Indeed/Very Good Indeed. 8.5" by 6". None. A first edition on this book on 'British Game'. By Brian Vesey-Fitzgerald, Editor of The Field. He was a naturalist and writer of many books about animals. Some of his other publications include 'A Country Chronicle', 'The Book of the Horse', 'Background to Birds', and 'The Beauty of Cats'. With twenty-eight reproductions in colour and eighty-one black and white photographs. In a green cloth binding with gilt lettering to the spine in an unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. Minor shelfwear to the boards. Dustwrapper is sound with slight rubbing. There are some chips and closed tears to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed
