Near Fine. 429 pp; 2 fold-out maps; reprint of work originally publlished in 1910; profusely illustrated with reproductions of b & w photos; highly detaIled account of the British in Africa, written from a British viewpoint at the time of writing; published without a dj in dark brown boards with gilt stamping; has stain running along gutter of both hinges, which has bled through to next page; this is probably a manufacturing defect of too much glue in the binging; it is not foxing.
