Illustrated with a colour frontispiece, forty-nine black-and-white plates, and many in-text images. Collated complete. An illustrative work on the road to Brighton and the routes of the surrounding area. With specific reference to the Sutton and Reigate route and the Bolney and Hickstead route. Written by Charles George Harper, an English author and illustrator who wrote self-illustrated travel books exploring the regions, roads, coastlines, literary connections, and old inns of Britain. In the original red cloth binding. Externally, sound with rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities, Fading to the spine and the odd mark to the boards. Splits in the cloth to the head and tail of the front joint. Internally, firmly bound with light scattered spotting predominantly to the first and last few pages. Good
