About This Item
Barre, Massachusetts: Barre Publishers, 1964. First edition, limited to 1500 copies, with "All royalties for the benefit of the Quebec-Labrador Mission Foundation." Octavo (9.25" x 6.25"), [8], 111, & [1] pages, illustrated. Publisher's yellow/ tan cloth lettered in gilt on the spine, with pictorial device of a fishing net in gilt on the upper cover, in slipcase with an applied, printed title label on the front panel.
Small spot near the top of the spine, previous owner's bookplate at the verso of the first blank page causing staining from mounting glue evident on the recto, otherwise Very Good in like slipcase, lightly soiled, with a couple of dings at the edges.
This copy from the collection of Mary & Bert Tilt with their "Hunting - Fishing" bookplate. The author was a wealthy investment banker, avid angler and gifted writer.
