Book Condition: covers show signs of being bonked around a bit, corners turned, spine ends pushed, gilt to spine dulled bits of miscellaneous wear here and there; end papers showing some random pencil markings otherwise text block is unmarked and unmarred; binding rock solid. Dust Jacket Condition: lacking. "One of Priestly's better-known works, it combines nostalgia for the northern England that existed before the First World War with an optimism inspired by the conclusion of the Second.
