Spine with four raised bands, gilt decoration and leather title label. Paper to boards has damage, tear to leather on lower corner of front board. Complete with the fold-out map and 7 plates. Light foxing to plates and facing pages, otherwise very clean throughout. Bookplate to front pastedown endpaper of Rear Admiral William Henry Webley Parry (with damage). Signed to leading blank by his wife, Maria Washington Webley-Parry. Below this is another signature, possible their daughter Ellen Webley Parry. Interesting account of the failed expedition to reach Repulse Bay and then go overland to the Kent Peninsula. Includes an important early account of the Inuit people.
