Near-fine in original printed and stapled off-white wrappers; 138pp. Faint crease to bottom corner of first 50 pages or so, otherwise bright and clean. This rare book illuminates the early years of baseball in the American Midwest. Ostewig was born in Lee, Illinois, and was the pitcher and Manager of the Lee Liners, a team organized in August 1895. His book describes the exciting games played by and against the Liners (with statistics and notes) along with biographies and photo illustrations of each of his teammates.
