First edition thus with the Leighton woodcuts. 8vo. ix, 140p. Illustrated by Clare Leighton with 16 lovely tipped-in woodcuts. Red cloth with gilt spine titles and gilt facsimile of Wilder's signature on the upper cover. Signed and dated by Clare Leighton January 30, 1930.
And with an ALs laid in to Mrs. Elmhurst (?), dated New York City. Nov. 15:
"Forgive the delay in answering your letter. It was belatedly forwarded to me out here -
My agents are The Redfern Gallery, 27 Old Bond St. They have a fairly representative set of my work, at all prices. It's nice to hear of ones admirers. I hope you will find something you really like. Yours truly, Clare Leighton
