New York : Macmillan, 1961. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. Stated second printing. Black cloth with spine lettered in gilt, octavo. 314 pages. Small home address sticker to front endpaper, otherwise nice bright clean copy in a good dust jacket with wear at the head and tail of spine, edgewear and some soiling to the back panel. The jacket is in a mylar protector. The Drina runs through the Bosnian city of Visegrad [the author's birthplace] and Andric chronicles the "fortunes of the bridge through three centuries of turbulelnce, and the lives of the impassioned men who struggled over it." [liner notes].
