About This Item
The Brewster Story is a history of brothers Bill and Jim Brewster, their family, and the trasportation company that developed from a modest outfitting and guiding service. "The Brewster Story recounts the colour and escapades of Banff's early years, develops the texture of the years between its wooly beginnings as a rustic town on the edge of nowhere and its development into a tourist mecca by the 1930's, a period in which the Brewsters may not always have called the shots but in which their persistent influence was always felt. And it brings the story up to the present day when the Brewster Transport Company annually carries thousands of sightseers in luxurious buses to see the beauties of the Canadian Rockies." Many interesting b/w photos.
