Condition: Good, with light shelfwear to covers. Binding sound, previous owners bookplate on front pastedown, no inscriptions. Dustjacket condition: Fair, generally shelfworn with a watermark to the inside of the front cover of the jacket (not affecting book in any way). Not price-clipped. 294pp. 32 b/w illustrations. This book presents a selection of Brechts theories on the theatre, in chronological order with explanatory notes to provide a linking thread. This makes it possible to understand how such concepts as The Epic Theatre and Alienation evolved. It also includes the Mahoganny notes, "The Street Scene" and the Short Organum. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
