Jonathan Cape Press, London U.K., 1941. 2nd Impression. Hardcover. VG/G. 8 x 5 1/2 x 1. NON SMOKING STORE. MY LISTING INCLUDES PHOTO OF ACTUAL BOOK FOR SALE. Book VERY GOOD/ Dust Jacket Good. Boards and spine are green cloth, silver lettering. Dust jacket is NOT PRICE CLIPPED, has a small 1/2 inch piece cut out of one corner. White parts of DJ and edges are age darkened, back cover of DJ looks beige not white due to age, and rubbing adjacent book. DJ spine is age darkened, has chips and a tear and a piece of paper missing, and is worn on front and back edges but not through. DJ front has minor scratches and fold is worn but not through. Book has all four corners bent, some edge wear top and bottom, some creases and age lightening on edge of top and bottom spine. Bottom edges of pages are rag-edged and darker. Top page edges of book are black, slightly spotted and with a small white mark. Book is tight, smells a bit old but not musty or mildewy, has one or two pages near front with small brown spots on them. Book page outer edges form a slightly concave arc. Black/white photo plates, maps.
Synopsis
Brazilian Adventure is a book by Peter Fleming about his search for the lost Colonel Percy Fawcett in the Brazilian jungle. Fawcett along with his son and another companion had disappeared while searching for the Lost City of Z in 1925. Fleming was working as literary editor for The Times when he answered a small ad asking for volunteers to join an expedition to find out what had happened to Fawcett. The story of Fleming's 1932 expedition is told in Brazilian Adventure.

My books are from a large private collection, very well taken care of and rarely handled. All descriptions and photos are of the actual books I'm selling. I'm happy to answer any questions regarding my books, just ask. IMPORTANT RE POSTAGE: I'm in Canada so books to the USA/Other Countries are International shipments and may be delayed by CUSTOMS and/or HOMELAND SECURITY. I'm using the Biblio standard postage matrix, which gives average postage fees, therefore sometimes for an OVERSIZE or LARGE heavy book or expensive book, the postage may be too low and may require extra charges. If I know this in advance, I will notify the buyer before the order is processed.
This is not a huge book warehouse, it is a small one-owner store run by a true book lover. POSSIBLE DELAYS: I'm elderly and disabled and while this usually does not cause a delay in order processing, it sometimes may cause a small delay for me to get to the post office.
