Out of print for many years, this is a fine limited re-issue; First published in 1933, the book describes an early expedition to the far reaches of the Amazon to discover the fate of Colonel Percy Fawcett, a famous explorer who with his son and a friend had gone missing in 1925 while searching for the "Lost City of Z", believed by some to be Eldorado. Peter Fleming's funny, exciting, well-written account was widely praised at the time and became an instant bestseller.
