Edges: foxing and light dusting of soiling.Eps: Head fep fore corner with name & 26-4-36; small circular booksellers sticker to ffep bottom fore corner. Frontis: glossy b/w artwork of "And Waited For Dawn" of the Ramsgate Life-boat and the Tug Vulcan going out to the Indian Chief, wrecked on Long Sands January 5th 1881, painting by Capt. T.H. Willoughby, R.N. Light foxings to a few pages , albeit mostly to the margins. B/w glossy illustrations. Binding is VG. 307p Dj: moderate soiling, rubbing & scratches. Spine: head & foot with thin wear, small splits and chips. Head & foot of flaps spines with small open wear and splits/ chips. Price-cut to front flap foot.. First Edition. Hb. VG/None.
