Calcutta: Bengal Bratachari Society, 1940. Second Edition. Old gift bookplate on front pastedown, otherwise a clean, tight copy. Quarter cloth binding. 71pp. Photos. Jacket is rubbed, chipped at spine ends, and offered now in a new mylar cover. The Bratachari Movement was a philosophical, spiritual and nationalist movement founded in the Indian state of Bengal. According the the Bratachari ideal, all life is derived from joy and is based on joy, yet requiring rhythmic training furnished by the five-fold Bratas or ideals. This is a nice copy of a very scarce work.. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 12mo - over 6" - 8" Tall.
