About This Item

1970. Very good +. [n.d., circa 1970]. Double-sided handbill, 14 ½ x 11 inches. Recto lists various reviews of the underground film, which starred Taylor Mead, Sally Kirkland, Ultra Violet, Abbie Hoffman, Candy Darling, and the young Sam Shepard. The reviews include one by Jonas Mekas in the Village Voice, who says the film is "completely somewhere else." The verso is a large image by Gilbert Shelton of one of his infamous furry freak brothers, joint in hand. Folded once, with older fold lines and some minor handling wear.
