London: Blackie & Son Limited. Good. Hardcover. 22 cm. Square binding in paper-covered boards. Illustration on the boards of a native American in head-dress on a horse being pursued by two Royal Canadian Mounted Police officers. The front hinge is partially cracked. Corners worn through. Heavy rub wear along the edges. Text block edges are foxed, as are the inside leaves, more heavy to the early pages. It has a colour frontispiece and two interior black and white plates. Gift inscription, dated 1939, on the front free endpaper. Except for the foxing, the inside pages are still bright and unmarked. A boy's annual published by Blackie, likely the 1940 edition. Cover illustration is by Lance Cattermole. The authors include: Jim Pennant, W.R. Henderson, J. Paterson Milne, George Surrey, Robert M. Macdonald, Keith Orme, and others. Black and white illustrations by: H.M. Brock, Stanley Rogers, A. Field Smith, Frank Wiles (also colour frontispiece), and others. .
