Norwich: Michael Russell, 1997. Octavo. 208 pp; 8 pp of b/w photographs; index. Cloth with dustjacket. Near Fine/Near Fine, small gift inscription on front free endpaper, else a clean, unmarked copy. The wartime letters between Heywood Hill, who had opened his bookshop in Curzon Street in 1936, and his wife Anne. He was suddenly called up in December 1942, and Anne, already four months pregnant, was left to cope, much helped by Nancy Mitford. The book is edited by Anne's nephew Jonathan Gathorne-Hardy.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Near Fine.
