Description:
Winterich chose 20 famous works of various famous authors and dedicated an entire chapter to each, and added a collection of fun, interesting illustrations. Authors covered include: Walt Whitman, Daniel Dafoe, Charles Dickens, Izaak Walton, Harriet Beecher Stowe, George Du Maurier, John Bunyan, John James Audubon, Robert Burns, Mark Twain, Oliver Goldsmith, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Samuel Johnson, Edgar Allan Poe, Lewis Carroll, Washington Irving, Samuel Pepys, Edward FitzGerald, Benjamin Franklin, and William Makepeace Thackeray. The book itself is in very good condition, though the cover is a little rough, mostly from general shelf wear, and the binding is starting to split in the seam of the front cover.
