Boston: Little, Brown, and Company, 1927. Early Reprint. Hardcover. Octavo, xiv, 311 pages. In Very Good minus condition. Bound in brown cloth with lightly worn gilt lettering to spine. Minor general shelf wear, primarily light rubbing to head and tail of spine, hinges, edges, and corners of boards. Top edge of textblock gilt. Previous owner's signature on front free endpaper. Age toning with light pencil marginalia scattered throughout textblock. Features black and white plates throughout. Shelved in Books on Books. From the collection of Silvio Bedini. Bedini spent twenty five years at the Smithsonian Institution, serving as curator in the Department of Mechanical and Civil Engineering in the new Museum of History and Technology (now the National Museum of American History) before serving as first Assistant Director then Deputy Director of the National Museum of History and Technology. He then served as Keeper of Rare Books at the Dibner Library of the History of Science and Technology, a branch of the Smithsonian Institution Libraries, before becoming a Historian Emeritus.
