New York: The Limited Editions Club, 1979. Book. Illus. by Chaim Gross. Fine. Hardcover. Signed by Illustrator(s). First Limited Edition. Large format hardcover, folio bound in natural colored smooth sheepskin spine over dark brown linen covered boards, housed in original slipcase and onion skin wrapper. 121 pages. Introduction by Franklin H. Littell. Illustrated with 11 full page watercolors by Chaim Gross. First edition. Limited edition, signed by Littell and Gross on the colophon page, this being no. 1037 of 2000 copies printed. Original card describing the book's printing history and physical characteristics, along with LEC Monthly Newsletter, laid-in loose. No previous ownership marks. Original onion skin wrapper shows some tears at spine fold and is lacking two small pieces, one at top of spine and the other at mid-point of spine. Book itself is in fine condition and as new. Slipcase shows fading from sun, most especially at spine. A fine copy in a very good slipcase. A large over-size book, Priority and International orders will require additional postage, calculated as close to actual cost as possible. .
