Condition: -Good- Black quarter leather and buckram green cloth. Corners heavily worn and rounded from use, hindges show repairs and do work, pages medium foxed and show soiling, text block tight. Front board has in gilt E.& M. Tileston and spine cover has MUSIC in gilt. -------- An excellent opportunity for the collector, researcher or historian ---------
Front contains a hand written list of the 40 sheet music titles lkike The Wedding March, Beauties of Massaniello, etc
This publication was probably a one of a kind private book with music bound for use of a pianist. 'E. & M. Tileston Dorchester Mass 1853' is penciled on page 7. A Miss E. M. Tileston is listed in Dorchester in a Boston Blue Book in 1898.
