Photographs. 2 volume set., 8vos, green publisher's cloth with gilt lettering on spines, illustrated with 2 frontispieces & 23 glossy B&W photos on plates [vol. I] &with 20 similar photos in [vol. II]: overall, 43 illustrations on 32 pages; Vol. I: xvi + 422 & Vol. II: viii + 414 pages. No dust jackets. A frank and comprehensive biography by Charmian, the wife of author Jack London who knew him best. John "Jack" London (1876 - 1916) was and remains a best-selling American novelist. His most famous works include The Call of the Wild and White Fang, both set in the Klondike Gold Rush, as well as the short stories "To Build a Fire." Condition: Very Good set in tight, bright quite clean and minimally worn cloth though the gilt is dulled; glossy photos bright and unsullied, previous owner inscriptions on front free endpaper (vol. 1), several pages unopened ergo very fresh. Lacks djs. BAL 11983.
