Edinburgh: William Blackwood and Sons, 1882. Second Edition. Cloth. Very Good. Small 4to. 427 pp. Dark blue cloth with gilt titling to spine and decoration to front board. Cloth heavily rubbed and binding lightly shaken but holding sturdy. Limitation plate to fpd, stating this is number 307 of 1000 copies printed. Small bookseller's label (W.E. Franklin, Newcastle on Tyne) to bottom edge fpd. Bookplate of notable printer and collector Oscar Aurelius Morgner to ffep. Engraved frontispiece, plates, and text illustrations. Some light foxing scattered to tissue guards and nearby leaves, offsetting opposite plates. School report card for a Robert McMurray, dated 1931 laid in at center.
