Clean burgundy cloth boards with gold lettering on spine, blind-stamped circular decoration on cover. No fading or wear. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound, pages are clean, with red top-stained upper text block page edges (small spot to top page edges - size of a navy bean) . Illustrated endpapers. No names or bookplates. Illustrated with wonderful photographs, drawings. Illustrated by Lynn Bogue Hunt. 533 pages + 10 page index. Clean jacket is not price clipped, unchipped, one tiny closed edge tear; enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover.
